Privacy Policy

NeuroNest is designed from the database up to preserve the privacy of caregivers and their children. We do not sell data, we do not run third-party advertising trackers, and we enforce strong structural privacy controls.
1. Child Privacy Protection
Our top priority is the safety of our children. We require that members never post identifiable information regarding children. Any posts or images that include identifiable facial photos of minors, full names, school names, addresses, or government identification (such as CNIC/B-Form numbers) are removed by moderators.
2. Anonymous Posting Architecture
When you choose to post or comment anonymously:
- Your author identity is stripped at the database view level and never transmitted to client browsers, search crawlers, or other members.
- Commenters in the thread see a consistent pseudo-label (e.g. “Anonymous parent (OP)” or “Anonymous parent 1”) to preserve discussion context without revealing who wrote it.
- Moderators review anonymous posts based solely on content safety without seeing the author's identity. Only an audited administrative override exists for severe legal or safety crises, and every invocation writes an immutable audit record.
3. What We Collect
- Account credentials: Your email address and hashed password (stored securely by Supabase Auth). Your email is never displayed to other users.
- Profile details: Your public handle, optional bio, and optional child age range (which is private by default).
- Content: Posts, comments, votes, community memberships, and reports you submit.
4. Self-Service Data Rights
You maintain full ownership of your data:
- Data Export: You can download a complete JSON archive of your account profile, posts, and comments directly from your Settings page at any time.
- Account Deletion: You can request immediate permanent deletion of your account. All personally identifiable information, profile data, and credentials are removed.
